Creating the right (artist’s) impression

Creating the right (artist’s) impression

We’ve recently designed, developed and launched a new website for multimedia artist Howard Waring that showcases his numerous works including oil paintings and watercolours.

Howard’s passion is in painting as a means of representing the lives of people as they experience day-to-day events and his job as a Doctor has had a profound influence on his compositions.

The new site needed to capture his essence as an artist while also offering stylish portfolio functionality to enable his works to be showcased to their best.

In addition, Howard’s requirement to be able to update the site himself, to ensure as speedy a return on investment as possible, has been met by the development and integration of a WordPress content management system. This allows him to update site content, including text and images, via a secure and intuitive to use Site Manager that negates the need for web development skills.

Finally, the implementation of a responsive framework ensures the best possible viewing experience, no matter what device is being used to access the site, whether that be desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The whole site needed to be designed, developed and deployed to tight timescales with the project running over three weeks from start to finish. This included the setting up of hosting and email accounts.
