Smartphone and tablet adoption rapidly increases day by day, so does the importance of mobile-friendly websites.
Smartphones and tablets have changed the approach toward design and user experience and if Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a core component of your digital marketing strategy, having a mobile-friendly website is becoming essential. Mobile sales have already overtaken desktop sales, and mobile Internet usage is following the same course. From April 21st 2015, mobile friendliness became a major ranking factor for websites on Google. The algorithms will now favour mobile-friendly sites, using a real-time, page-by-page basis to determine mobile friendliness, and penalise sites that display poorly on mobile devices. A website that is not a responsive website or mobile-friendly will suffer negative SEO and decreased search engine rankings.
As A&M Wealth Management's primary design agency (we produce all their branding and marketing collateral and built their previous website) they approached us with a desire to re-align their online presence so it was focussed towards Personal Investors as well as Law Firms. This involved a complete re-write of their website content (following interviews with A&M Wealth Management to establish their desired positioning) as well as a re-structure of key sections. It made sense to take this opportunity to update the previous Umbraco 5 Content Management System to Umbraco 7 and re-build the front-end completely so it was fully cross browser and cross platform responsive. Whilst at the same time giving the interface a fresh face that appealed more to modern browsers, modern website design (HTML5 / CSS3) and the Personal Investors marketplace. Giving A&M Wealth Management the advantage of:
- Being super flexible and future proof
- Providing a excellent user experience
- Being cost effective
- Being SEO optimised and Google recommended
- Being easy to manage and update
