No, we’re not about to change our business name. Nothing could be further from the truth. We’ve been known as Williams&Crosby for over 30 years and clients tell us we’re a name – and a brand – they trust. Implicitly.
That said, like many businesses, we recognised that we had perhaps fallen into the trap of assuming our clients were fully aware of the wide range of services we offer.
This was confirmed during a number of recent conversations with clients that ended in ‘… I didn’t know you did that!’ and prompted us to take a fresh look at our own website in order to better showcase what we deliver.
At the same time, our clients informed us that it’s not just the tangible services we offer - such as advertising and website design - that endear us to them.
They pointed out intangibles such as integrity, imagination, energy, enthusiasm, honesty and commitment. All things we give as standard. All things our clients find refreshing and invaluable.
So whether it's Williams&… website, Williams&… branding, Williams&… print design, Williams&… direct mail, or Williams&… one of our many other services, why not take a look at our new website?
For one, we’d love your views. But more than that, we’d like the opportunity to show how we can help your company to grow.
While you’re here, however, please read on to discover the advantages that Williams&… PR could bring to your business – all with a good measure of added value, of course.
You may not be aware of it, but your business is continually creating PR.
It happens every time you pick up the phone. Every time you make a sale. Every time you interact with a supplier. And every time you speak to a contact, colleague or customer.
That’s because PR is all about perception. About the way you present yourself. About the way other people see you. About your sales and your successes – and how well (or how badly) you deal with customers and their compliments or complaints.
So wouldn’t it make good sense to harness some of the PR you’re generating on a daily basis to create even more positive news for your business?
Well-written, carefully targeted press releases can be used to do far more than announce your successes, developments, new products, new starters, activities and achievements.
By its very nature, PR is seen as objective – and that’s something that tends to make it more believable.
Uploaded to your website as news or blog items, it helps keep content fresh and encourages repeat visits. Plus there’s the added benefit that stories appearing in online media can bring to your search engine ranking.
Then, there’s the hidden value of PR. The Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) was once often cited as a way of calculating the value of a press release by comparing it to the price that the same amount of space would cost had it been bought for an advertisement. But good PR is worth so much more than that.
That’s why, at Williams&Crosby, we prefer to use Return On Investment as a gauge of just how effective a PR campaign has been. Our measures include: the amount of earned articles and posts achieved, the increase in visits to your website, and the rise in followers of your social media.
PR, however, can take a little while to reap dividends. That’s why we’d always recommend committing to a programme for a minimum of six months.
