An infographic is a graphical representation of data or information

They are the ideal way to present information to your customers in a way that is engaging and interesting, allowing them to absorb the data presented to them with a quick scan, rather than having to read through a long piece of writing.

Infographics take otherwise slightly dull information and bring it to life, turning it into shareable content that can improve your SEO and increase brand awareness. If you make sure to include embed codes and social media widgets with your infographic, it can be widely shared with a simple click, and if you include your branding then customers can always trace it back to you.

So what makes a good infographic? Visual impact is key: simple, clear presentation of information, but with a unique and fun graphical element that will grab the attention of your customers. It should be easily shareable as mentioned above and incorporate your logo and branding so that it can always be attributed back to you.

A good infographic shouldn’t be overcomplicated – remember the idea is to present the customer with easily digestible information, something they can take in with a glance. If you do wish to present more intricate or complex processes, perhaps for a corporate brochure, then a rich picture could also be an option.
